Holzhausen a. d. Porta - Maschmeyers Mühle 02

The windmill of Holzhausen an der Porta, called the "Maschmeyer´s Mill" , first mentioned in 1740, as a trestlemill and rebuild in 1837 after a conflagration, in the wall-hollander-style with a roughcast a quarrystone steeple. The mill is part of the Westfalische Mühlenstraße.

Maravillosa calle medieval que el artista Ernest Descals ha pintado en un cuadro al óleo sobre tela de 73 x 60 cms.La habitual niebla de estas comarcas hace que se produja un ambiente neblinoso de gran interes pictórico, las esbeltas y ancianas columnatas de sus bajosoportales han sido colocadas estrategicamente por el pintor para obtener en este cuadro unos efectos de absoluta profundidad visual, y los detalles como los propios adoquines de la calle adquieren una enorme vida propia.La ciudad de Cervera está en la Comarca de La Segarra en LLeida.

One of my earlier photos, this was one of the first photos that gave me the feeling that I created something more than just a snapshot. I waited till late evening to have the trees as a silhouette and placed the church between them. The exposure was 30 second long. There is a colour version as well, perhaps I will upload that one as well later.
